@clairescove: Franco’s overtake on Lewis was legal even with some contact! We’ve seen this plenty of times like with Lando and Max in Austin, Oscar and Max in Jeddah. Just because it happened to Lewis by a less popular driver doesn’t mean it’s suddenly an illegal move.

the issue is that the apex can be viewed from a large number of viewpoints. and who decides where the apex is, especially at a hairpin? you can take it early, late and in the middle and it can work in all cases
