@sayakasdigitalattic: Fixing a PS2 Slim disc drive! on the ps2 slims when the disc drive is open there is a little pad what stops the disc when the lid is opened thats why there was resistance when spinning the disc

as a kid i took a q tip and put a little alcohol and cleaned the laser. no clue whether you're supposed to do this or not but it worked
