@metawonder: A psychotic patient described a vision of an ancient 2000 year old solar ritual in precise detail, even though the text that contained that ritual hadn’t been translated into any modern language yet. This quietly broke one of materialism’s core assumptions — that the mind is sealed off from everything outside it. this case doesn’t just challenge how we understand psychosis, it challenges how we understand mind itself. #philosophy #psychosis #spirituality #enlightenment #consciousness

I’m autistic and I can access this state through somatic dancing. It’s like going into a room and accessing everything across all time. Sometimes it feels like I can download a new skill from there.

youre framing this wrong. we do share a collective consciousness but its not something outside of ourselves that we are taping into, its because of our shared biology and environment.

I have accessed the collective unconscious before … I was everyone and I was everything .. but it did make me go quite mad to some degree

It’s an interesting point you’ve got here that the brain is a filter, not a generator. It reminds me of the work of the anthropologist, Eduardo Kohn, on “Sylvan/forest thinking”, which argues that the forest is a vast network of interacting living beings, and that the entire ecosystem forms a collective consciousness or mind.

Didn’t they ‘kind of’ prove this by splitting atoms (maybe) and they found what was happening to one atom the other atom knew it was happening or it was happening to it as well, and as we all come from the same ‘stuff’ (big bang) what’s happening to one collection of atoms the same collection of split atoms knows it’s happening…someone please explain this better lol it’s new science in the last 1-2 years and I’m too tired to think of all the correct scientific terms 😅

Last week my cousin did an ancestry test and we found out that our great great grandmother was a Jung. It was the highlight of the week.

I read this part 30 years ago and that was the moment when Jung became an important part of my studies. Somehow he came to unify my studies that seemed separate, studies on myths, religions, philosophy, spirituality, alchemy...

In my early 20s I remember reading nihilistic philosophy by various well known authors, while reading it I noticed some of the things they explained in these books I have already thought of. I found it strange, and after a while I came to the realization that trough the act of philosophical thinking, regardless of time, and socioeconomic conditions, we humans come to the same realizations on existential matters, in essence, regardless of time, place, background, we are all going trough the human existential experience.

This makes complete sense, cause I literally passed through the same 🫠 Jacobo Gringberg also said that we are all connected to a wider collective conscious network

what if our brains are like workstations, and we're all connected through the atmosphere (Tesla said it has free electricity) at a collective server, which stores and deliver messages. To me is very weird that I reminded myself a random simple thing that I wasn't supposed to, and I thought to myself - it seems like it came from somewhere else. I couldn't have been stored this memory, such unimportant memories in my own brain. What if our own free will / ego has this side effect like a firewall between us and the collective unconscious
