@mayy.my1life: A Few Important Notes Your fasting insulin number matters just as much as the score. Even if your HOMA-IR looks acceptable, a fasting insulin above 8–10 µIU/mL on its own is worth discussing with your doctor, it suggests your pancreas is working harder than it needs to. Context matters. HOMA-IR is a snapshot, not a diagnosis. Factors like poor sleep the night before, recent illness, intense exercise, or chronic stress can all temporarily influence your results. This is a starting point, not an endpoint. If your score falls in the early or significant resistance range, know that insulin resistance is largely lifestyle-driven, and therefore largely reversible. Blood sugar management, sleep, movement, and time-restricted eating all have meaningful, well-researched impacts on insulin sensitivity. Save this post, you will need to refer to this when you have your lab test results. Share it with someone who needs it. Drop a 💪🏼 or comment with your HOMA-IR score if you have it already. Let’s get on this health journey together. #InsulinResistance #HOMAIR #MetabolicHealth #Type2Diabetes #MY1Life
