@independentreporter9495: 🚨 Tragic Story of Rachel Tussey: A Mommy Makeover That Ended in Heartbreak ❤️🩹 Rachel Tussey was a vibrant 47-year-old Ohio mother of three, wife, and beloved TikTok creator known as @midlifeunmuted_. With tens of thousands of followers, she openly shared her midlife journey, empowering women in their 40s to embrace confidence and self-care. In early 2026, Rachel decided to undergo a “mommy makeover” — a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) combined with 360 liposuction and umbilical hernia repair — performed by Dr. Shahryar Tork at JourneyLite Surgery Center in Evendale, Ohio. She documented the entire process on TikTok with positivity and excitement, inspiring many others considering similar procedures. The nine-hour surgery on February 25, 2026, reportedly went well. According to the surgeon, Rachel was alert and stable afterward. What happened next turned tragic. In the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), nursing staff allegedly administered a rapid and excessive overdose of opioids (including high doses of fentanyl and Dilaudid) — far more than she had received during the entire surgery. This reportedly caused respiratory failure and an anoxic brain injury. Staff realized she wasn’t waking up and becoming unresponsive. Someone from the surgery center called 911 to report the emergency. The full 911 audio has since been released publicly, capturing the moment they requested help as Rachel struggled. There are also allegations that the call was delayed, that proper resuscitation efforts (including bag-mask ventilation) were mishandled, and that she went without adequate oxygen for several critical minutes before paramedics arrived. She was transferred to the hospital, placed on life support, and later moved to hospice care. Rachel passed away on March 17, 2026. Her family and the surgeon have since filed lawsuits against the surgery center and involved staff, alleging medical negligence, fatal overdose in post-operative care, delayed emergency response, and possible record alterations. The case has sparked widespread discussion about plastic surgery risks, patient safety in outpatient recovery, and the importance of thorough monitoring after procedures. Rachel’s story is a heartbreaking reminder that even “routine” cosmetic surgeries carry serious risks, especially in the vulnerable post-op period. She leaves behind a loving family and a community she inspired online. Our thoughts are with her husband, children, and loved ones. 💔 #RachelTussey #fyp #breakingnews

As an ER nurse, this is the most bizarre 911 call and reaction to this situation.

We have a 47yr old female post op unresponsive patient monitor showing cardiac —— and o2 sats —- we need backup ambulance with ACLS immediately at this - —— —— surgery center . Lack of urgency and info shows immature caller w little to no experience. If anyone really desires to have cosmetic surgery Do not do it in a private sector facility . Be in a hospital that knows proper protocol and code blue initiation criteria / ACLS and a well educated PACU team!!!!

Just listen to how she says, “She came out for a SURGERRRRY!” So annoying! She is so fake and has zero compassion for someone who just died. She sounds like one of those nurses who would kill their husband, kids, or patients. Beware of this nurse — her tone doesn’t sound right. It sounds like she was jealous of the patient.

Why is there so much silence , so little urgency, it’s the most casual 911 call I’ve ever heard , from BOTH SIDES. The dispatcher doesn’t even ask what’s wrong for 3 minutes. The nurse acts like she’s casually giving report. Voice isn’t shaking. Halfway listening. Describes the patient as non responsive instead of saying she’s in arrest. As a nurse this is DISGUSTING. I hope this nurse gets her license revoked.

As a nurse, this makes my stomach turn. Where is the urgency?! Where is the SBAR report? The high pitched "surgeryyy" & "thank yewwwww" is insane.
