Painting it is 1000% worth it. Use aluminum foil to cover up most of it and tape as well. But you’ll regret not doing it once you have a nice clean engine in there.

Paint it. It’s so worth it. GM cars do that flat paint in the engine pay. When you match the gloss of the rest of the car it’s a HUGE difference.
