That part about doing it alone, I wish someone told me that 20 years ago. Because as your friends who share the same interest start get married, have children, lots of time even when they physically have the time to do it, they don’t have the mental bandwidth for it. The bittersweet truth is it’s easier to make new friends on the new journey than trying to drag your old friends to it.
