The billable hours is why we have a drinking problem in finance. We are taught to even go to a client's "networking" events to bill. As long as they see us busy.

I’m a Solicitor, and I’m a whole school. I’m a country and farm girl as well and yes, I look at it and think these are billable hours but it’s also self-care which is very important because if I do not look after myself, I can’t look after my clients adequately.
