It’s because of smart atoms. There really isn’t an explanation for it other than they are really strong, really durable, and can fly. The smart atoms have something to do with their ability to be able to use air as leverage in flight.

i think they meant tactile telekinesis which is established to be telekinesis that works on touch, and is the explanation for some DC characters not boring a hole in buildings when they try to lift them with super strength (but it's still physics defying)

I really like this guy’s breakdown of things, but I don’t think he fully knows what the smart atoms do. As said by Omni man in the show they can get leverage and momentum off of anything, they don’t need a solid surface. While space is a vacuum there are still atoms and molecules present, just very spread apart. What the smart atoms do is basically allow them to move freely through space, not following what we know as the laws of the universe. If there is any atoms or molecule at all even very little, they are able to get leverage off of them. So no, they don’t control gravity, they don’t control space-time or whatever, the smart atoms allow them to somewhat bend the laws of physics and move freely through space as long as there is any atoms at all that they can get leverage on
