Same thing happened to us! But it was a FRIEND! I am still in shock ! We won and it’s over however the damage is done and it all goes back to not communicating with us. My heart was broken! But the Bible says do not loan money and we have learned my lesson.

She was going to ask you for more than the original amount agreed to( bc she needed more money to pay off the balance to release the lien), also the “speciality lending” is also at times referred to in this way for non-typical lending i.e. RVs, boats, etc. (the bank I work for we use this language for loans that are not auto:home:personal/signature Loans non secured )
