The dad targeted homes in Islington, north London A dad-of-two who filmed women through the windows of their homes in the middle of the night has admitted 19 counts of voyeurism. Anthony Durkan carried out “serious and sustained predatory behaviour” between 2020 and 2025, spying on women, including when they were undressed, police said. Police found hundreds of videos hidden on the 35-year-old's phone after catching him red-handed. Durkan admitted 19 counts at Highbury Corner Magistrates on Tuesday, bringing the total number of voyeurism offences to 26 after he pleaded guilty to seven separate incidents in March. Durkan repeatedly visited one woman’s home in Islington, north London, in the early hours of the morning in January 2026. The woman complained to police after a neighbour saw a man dressed entirely in black, and wearing a balaclava, walk towards her home. The man was seen holding his phone up to windows, “seemingly recording inside before walking away”, police said. The incidents were caught on the neighbour’s doorbell camera. Weeks later, in March, officers were called to another address in Islington after a women reported that she had also spotted a man recording her. This incident was also caught on security camera. A third victim was identified through the pictures, but police believe there are more. Durken was caught red-handed by police on 25 March, and five mobile phones and a small camera were later recovered from his home. Detective Chief Inspector Gemma Alger said: “Durkan’s offending represented a serious and sustained course of predatory behaviour, deliberately targeting women who were entirely unaware they were being filmed, without their consent and in the privacy of their own homes. “I want to thank the women who had the courage to come forward and report Durkan’s crimes. Their reports, supported by witnesses and swift investigative work, enabled officers to act decisively and arrest Durkan during a proactive patrol.” Durken will be sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court at a later date.
