Saladin came from the Kurdish family of the Ayyubids this is a fact recognized by historians. His service to the Muslim world does not automatically make him Arab or Turk. History cannot be rewritten just because someone does not like the word Kurd. When a person has been known for centuries as Kurdish by historians and in comments people suddenly try to turn him into Arab or Turk this is not history it is nationalist fantasy. Saladin spoke several languages and ruled over many peoples but his origin was Kurdish. Great figures do not stop being Kurdish just because it is inconvenient for some people The fact that Saladin defended Islam and Jerusalem does not make him automatically Arab or Turk. Islam is a religion not a nationality. He was Kurdish from a Kurdish Ayyubid family born Kurdish and died Kurdish. There is no need to rewrite his identity just because his name became great in Islamic history. Even medieval historians mentioned his Kurdish origin. His father Najm al Din Ayyub and his uncle Shirkuh were Kurds from the Rawadi tribe. The Ayyubid dynasty had Kurdish roots and this is not a secret or a modern internet theory It is ridiculous when some people try to label every great Muslim ruler as Arab or Turk as if a Kurd cannot become a legend of Islamic history. History does not change because of that. If Saladin had been Arab or Turk there would be no centuries of arguments about it in comments. But the fact is historians have long known his origin he was Kurdish from the Ayyubid family. A great Muslim yes but a great Kurdish Muslim🏔️☀️
