let's be real that relationship is very toxic not only because of zuko because remember the oly reason he "broke her heart" never bc he wanted to protect her he didn't want to drag mai into problems that he can't fix until ozia is in prison and in the comics he didn't want mai to worry about his problems about ruling the fire nation thats why he went to his dad bc he dosen't know what to do and for mai I'm not saying that her feeling are unvalid if i was her i would also get mad but w the dynamic is not good for the both of because of zuko's stress i think he should date jin bc she can bring out zuko's inner child and she's kind fun something that mai dosen't have (no shade to mai)
