@vocaldecoding: If you wanna be a professional singer or you are a professional singer, there are three levels to this that you must pay attention to. They are training, the bridge, and I don't mean the bridge of the song or the bridge of your voice, and the pro level. The training is very important. That's broken down into four parts. 1. warming up the voice that shouldn't take more than about five to 10 minutes. Use semi-ecluded exercises 2. general conditioning and vocalizing, which is the voice building that's where you're building the voice with the strength and power that you actually want to sing with. 3. What I call onurpose work, that's specific training and exercises for specific parts of your voice that need improvement and 4. you have to do or the first three don't matter that's taking everything that you've done with the first three and applying it to your songs. Now, the second level is the bridge, and that is not the bridge of the song, and it's not the bridge of your voice. That is the bridge from aspiring pro singer to pro singer. In that bridge, you have to find places you can sing and perform where the stakes are not high. Places where you actually can think a little bit about your voice and technique to see what holds in front of an audience, because when you move to the pro level, you can't be thinking about your voice. So the second level of this, the bridge, is incredibly important. Find a class karaoke, go to open mics, do whatever you need to do because you're going to have to be able to come to the point where you're not thinking about your voice or your technique, but for a time, you need to have someplace that you can, and that's the bridge. When you're a pro, everything needs to work automatically. Now, when you're a pro, you still do all three of those levels, because you're still training. You're still doing performances and rehearsals where the stakes aren't high as you're learning something, and you're professional on stage. Do those three things and you will have a great career. #singersongwriterartist #vocaltips #vocalcoaching #singinglessons #vocaltechnique @Vocal Decoding

When I moved cities, I didn't know where to find a voice teacher. I kept putting it off, but missed singing so much that I joined a competitive karaoke team where a creative skit and 1,000% charisma win over vocals every time. It has done wonders for my voice and stage presence! So much so that now that I do have a teacher, he was remarking how well I sang at our latest competition. He said it's possible that I sound better there, certainly more relaxed and healthy, because I'm not worried about the notes the way I am in voice lessons or band practice. 🥰
