Also, L was functioning from a framework where he was completley unaware of the supernatural. Batman would very quickly realize this was something supernatural and go ask one of the gods or wizards he pals around with what's going on.

it would still take him a few days before recognizing patterns that points towards lights direction. we're forgetting that thousands of people can match lights description and ryuk would notice eventually that someone is tailing him the same way he did for light as well as pointing out cameras meaning that light would've still acted accordingly whih would've bought him a few more time untill batman finally confirms that its highly unlikely to be any other suspects except him. also I agree that he wouldnt use the shinigami eyes but we're forgetting that light would've been aware of batman's existence in this hypothetical so. if he were to discover his name then he would've likely written it down immediately given that unlike L who needed physical evidence which can be navigated, hed realise based on rumors of batman that he's not someone thats bounded by such limitations and would have no reason to risk playing tag with him
