Janae 🤍 :
I went out with a girl again, and things were going well. We were driving around, talking and enjoying the ride, when I suddenly felt a sneeze coming.
I thought it was just going to be one.
I was wrong.
Out of nowhere, I started having a little sneeze attack. Since I was driving, I instinctively looked downward, trying not to sneeze straight ahead. Everything happened so fast that I didn’t cover my mouth in time.
A tiny bit of the sneeze landed on her bare arm.
She immediately looked down and said, “Ew.”
My heart sank.
She grabbed something to wipe it off while I sat there realizing exactly what had just happened.
“Sorry,” I said right away, feeling completely embarrassed.
I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Out of all the awkward things that could happen while hanging out with someone, accidentally sneezing on them was definitely not something I had planned for.
She wiped her arm off, and the moment passed, but I kept replaying it in my head. I wished I had reacted quicker and covered my mouth, but it had happened so suddenly that I barely had time to think.
In the end, it was just one of those awkward human moments. A random sneeze attack, bad timing, and an unfortunate accident.
Still, for the rest of the drive, I couldn’t help but think:
“Of all the places that sneeze could have gone, why did it have to land on her arm?” 😭
