you can taper your fence slightly open at the far side of the table so the wood doesn't squeeze against the blade, 1/32 or so should do.

If it’s really a big deal don’t use one of those old school belt driven with no safety saws. The new technology slows down the blade when it pinches. Also the ribbing knife is super important. Dewalt, Bosch and the other big name brands make awesome saws that are way safer. Some of them even lower the blade as soon as it senses flesh. It’s amazing
