@xdipxpanteax: I honestly understand and respect both perspectives on this topic. Hannah mentioned that Julie may have a small crush on Randall, but since Randall’s age has never been officially confirmed, I personally imagine him being around 22–25 years old, not older. Given that Julie is 17, I don’t personally view that age gap as unusual to the extent that some people do. At the same time, I completely understand why others may interpret the situation differently, especially if they believe Randall is significantly older. If Randall were confirmed to be around 30 or older, then I would agree that it crosses a line and changes the context entirely. Until anything is officially confirmed, though, this is simply my interpretation. I also think a purely platonic relationship between them would be meaningful and beautiful as well.
