@highlight My husband didn’t want to do this, but he believes people need to see what he faces every single day. In this video, you will see what my husband and another rice farmer encountered today. There are **three brothers** involved. At one time, they were good friends until my husband rented **10 acres of rice land** that one of them used to plant. That is where everything started. When my husband was offered the 10 acres by a family, it caused hatred to form. One of the brothers said he would take a bicycle and work the land. Another brother’s wife even said she could take my husband’s wife’s cat and drag it and work the land. With **Allah’s blessings**, my husband was able to get a tractor of his own and eventually rent **37 acres of rice land in total** from people who see him as a hardworking and honest man. When these three brothers saw that they could not stop his blessings, their mouths were left open and that is when the sabotage began. They tried everything to stifle my husband’s progress: 1. **They drained water into my husband’s land** to cause problems and make it appear as if he burst the mare. They even ran to beat my husband, but he stood his ground. 2. **They dug out a pipe** from one of his fields and threw mud inside, sealing the cut so he wouldn’t know. When my husband sowed paddy, there was no way to drain the water. He had to buy a new pipe, and with help from others and an HYMEC, it was installed. 3. **In the next field**, they turned the NDC HYMEC up and down and burst another pipe. When my husband confronted them, they claimed it wasn’t them and blamed another HYMEC operator mind you, that operator had already left long before. The pipe was fine before. 4. **When my husband went into the backdam to pump water** to sow paddy, they went to the junction dam and plugged the trench that brings water into his field. Again, with Allah’s blessings, my husband got water only because of the many days of rainfall. Today was the final straw. My husband went down with Trevor to fix the pump. After it was fixed, Trevor reversed the pump a short distance away from their pump **without touching it**. The youngest brother, holding a cutlass, went into the trench and started fiddling with their pump. He thought my husband didn’t see him. As soon as he came out, he rushed and called his other brothers, falsely claiming that Trevor drove over and broke his **impeller** without even checking the pump. Anyone with sense knows an impeller is an **internal part at the bottom of a pump**. There is absolutely no way it could break from someone driving near or even over the pump and they did not drive over it. All three brothers then **ran to beat my husband and Trevor**, using a cutlass and an iron pipe, sticking it in my husband’s face. What they didn’t know is that Danny had already started recording them. These same brothers **threatened my husband**, saying they would drain the water from his fields and that he would reap nothing. They told Trevor that he is not a Vryheid man and that they would run him out of the area simply because the man rented a few acres of rice land. Let it be known: These three brothers, along with two other family members, plant **over 100 acres of rice** themselves. But because they want to be the only ones planting rice, and because my husband refuses to join them in wrongdoing, they chose to **sabotage, lie, frame, and threaten him**. The matter is now **in the hands of the police.
