@savehorsessanctuary: - Left At The Gate I walked to the back gate this morning and found her. Tied to the post. Head hanging. Right front leg wrapped in a filthy, soaked bandage. Next to her, a note: “I’m sorry I had to do this. I don’t have money to treat this. At first I tried but the wound worsened and the money I had got over. Please help her.” The wound is so, so bad. Swollen to twice the size. Infected. Smell hits you before you see it. She won’t put weight on it. She’s given up. Our vet is on the way. But here’s the truth: our account is $0. Zero. And this is going to take sedation, debridement, x-rays to see if infection hit bone, antibiotics, daily bandage changes, pain meds. Minimum $800 today just to get started. Then weeks of aftercare. Someone tried. They ran out of money and hope. They left her with us because they believed we could do what they couldn’t. I want to honor that trust. I want to save her. But I can’t do it without you. Not this time. If you can help cover emergency vet costs, link is in bio. If you can’t, please share. Her whole second chance depends on who sees this next. She was dumped at a gate. Don’t let $0 be the reason her story ends here. I’ll update once the vet gets here. ---
