@sciencefunn: A South Korean supermarket chain called E-Mart did sell “One a Day Banana” packs (“Haru Hana Banana”), where the bananas were intentionally arranged from ripe to green so customers could eat one each day as they ripened. The bananas were packaged at different ripeness stages, the idea was to reduce waste, and to let people eat them gradually over several days. That said, it was more of a clever specialty product/marketing idea than “all banana packs in Korea are sold this way.” Do you like this clever idea? We share wholesome science content.
