@edwinmusiime: Dining etiquette is a reflection of class, respect, and self-awareness. A gentleman places his jacket neatly on a stand or behind his chair but never cluttering the table. The phone stays off the table or turned upside down or out of sight, because real presence matters more than notifications. Good manners never go out of style. 🍽️📵 #etiquette #class #finedining @Kampala Serena Hotel @PROPERTY SHOW | NTV @Diary of Success🌍
Thanks Dr Edwin for the etiquette lesson. Please allow me to add a thing or two! 1. Remember to approach the dinner chair from the left hand side! 2. Instead of cutting the bread in the middle with the knife, better break it into 4 equal pieces so you can butter each piece at a time (when ready to eat it). Do not dip the bread into soup! 3. The arrangement of folk and knife could say you have paused, you are ready to get a second serving, food was terrible or excellent food! It’s important to learn the meaning of curtlery positioning so that you do not miscommunicate by the way you position the curtlery! 4. Always be courteous to the staff. Say please, thank you, and stay calm. And if the food is excellent, remember to face the curtlery across the plate facing 9 o’clock (right)! 5. Gentlemen, when removing a single button jacket, please use one hand (to unbutton it) just before you sit down! 6. When passing shared food or items like salt, pepper or butter, pass it anti-clockwise until it reaches the recipient! I hope this is helpful!

Dr Ampumuza Davis :
Hello Dr Eddie, thank you for sharing these tips. Regarding doing some of the things to a fiancé or someone you want to marry, what’s your take on not over doing things that you won’t keep consistent about for the rest of your life together? I feel like at some point some people will feel like the love has faded even when it is not the case just because life is getting busier or something of the sort!
