i think it depends on context - are yall staying in a hotel, is it an airbnb, how much it it impacts the rest of the group and plans. I think it would be weird if the plan is an airbnb and someone else chooses to stay in a hotel. if its hotel rooms, fine get your own room. if its suites at a hotel and you choose ur own room, socially strange and prob off putting, but fine get your own room.

Wish I did that for the last one I went to. 12 people, only 6 beds. I got stuck sharing a bunk bed with 2 other people.

My bachelor party we are 35-38 we had 6 different hotels and houses . No one could justify a bunk bed shared twin bed situation . It worked out but most people found it funny as an outsider. I didn’t care though I think everyone was comfortable and could also budget better

I was in a situation with my ex best friend. She planned to go to Vegas for her bachelorette and at the time I couldn’t afford everything she wanted but I still wanted to make the effort to be there for her. I told her that my then boyfriend, now husband was going to drive me and help me with the hotel so I would be staying with him and she said “No!”. That was the start of the downfall of our friendship. And no, I didn’t go at all.

I was in a situation like this my friends were planning a bachelorette party we’re supposed to go to a tropical Caribbean island and normally the occupancy per room is two people like because there’s two beds and they were saying no if we go it’s gonna be four people to our room meaning two girls in each bed and I’m like we’re spending so much money. I’m like that’s not a vacation. The fact that I have to sleep sideways the entire weeks that we’re there and be uncomfortable like I want my own bed. I want my own space I wanna be able to toss a turd and throw myself bad. I don’t wanna share a bed even though they are my close rhymes. I’m like the whole point of a vacation is to be comfortable and they got really upset at him. we wind up going somewhere local but I’m I’m sorry like I am down for sharing a room but for sharing a bed like we’re not in college anymore I have my own money. I don’t want to be uncomfortable during a vacation.
