I spent my whole day working out in my garden, pushing my little one on the swing, doing absolutely 0 chores. Ended the day with a nice home cooked meal, warm shower, my comfiest jams, and my favorite TV show in bed. I'm currently prego, so can't do much. My husband apologized for the day not being fancy, but it was exactly what I wanted and needed. 💚

I’m not a huge holiday person and Mother’s Day falls within what has become the worst week of memories (May 5th: stillborn son, May 6th: husband died 12 years after son, May 9th, anniversary of meeting husband 27 years ago, May 12th husband and son burial day). My daughters are awesome and give me exactly what I need every year, the support to get through the week, and yesterday my oldest went into the restaurant and picked up our takeout instead of me.
