I remember playing a flash game on newgrounds (yes I know, I'm old) that was a side-scrolling Mega Man style version of Halo. it had the same atmosphere as Halo it was just compressed into an 8-bit side scroller. I remember, when you beat the bosses, Master Chief didn't gain the power, his gun did. each stage represented a level of the game. and I specifically remember that when you got to the library it sucked just as much as the library did in the first Halo. 🤣
