@anoraaaa01: Zaha Hadid: The Architect Who Redefined Architecture Beyond Straight Lines #architecture #architect Zaha Hadid was an Iraqi-British architect known for transforming modern architecture with fluid, curved, and highly dynamic designs. She was born in Baghdad in 1950 and studied mathematics before moving into architecture at the Architectural Association in London. Early in her career, she developed a style that rejected traditional straight lines and rigid geometric forms, instead focusing on movement, fragmentation, and flowing spatial concepts. Many of her early drawings were considered too complex or impractical to build, and for years her work was mainly seen in competitions and theoretical designs rather than completed structures. In 1980, she founded her own practice, Zaha Hadid Architects, and continued developing ambitious projects despite frequent rejection from clients and developers. Many of her designs were labeled unbuildable due to technical challenges and high construction demands, and she spent over a decade with limited built work. Over time, advancements in digital design and engineering made it possible to construct her complex forms, leading to major projects such as cultural centers, museums, and transport hubs. Her approach eventually reshaped architectural thinking by showing that non-traditional, curved structures could be realized at a large scale. #History #emotional #exam

Why the comment section is divided between engineers and architects, like yall both work together to build incredible buildings, there is no competition, just union

Architectural student here. We dont just draw anything. We have to make sure the engineers have a way of making it functional. We dont just propose impossible things. Thats why we also design structural grids, TO MAKE SURE THE ENGINEERS CAN SEE THAT ITS DOABLE.

They say give credits to the engineers. I say give credits to the construction laborers as well. Credits to the architect for this masterpiece. Credits to the engineers for making this masterpiece possible. Credits to the construction workers for working on this and making it into reality.
