The first time my therapist brought up emotional incest about my moms relationship to me I fell apart and we had to actually end the session early.. and I put off my next appointment for a month cause I felt this weird sense of shame and was terrified to face it more..

I’m not sure I like this therapist! Joking with your dad in a way your mom does not is NORMAL. That’s normal closeness. At the same time, I won’t delegitimize her experience! I’m ONLY talking about the therapist. Her feelings are her own and I support her.

bro i was the fuckin person in the midst of it all i was always going back and fourth listening to both of them and siding w either side made me hate them both on different sides it was so werid its like i knew them like a parent knows their parents but then i knew them like a “spouse” would so i saw them in a whole different way
