I struggle with people not thinking I’m a mom even though I went through pregnancy and labor, my baby was just born sleeping. I wish close family and friends recognized I still count. It makes me feel invisible.

Is it NOT your first Mother’s Day. It’s your first Mother’s Day with LUCY. Your boy mattered, HE was REAL, HE was LOVED. I lost my boy July of 2023 but I gave birth to my girl July of 2025. This is my first Mother’s Day with her but I will ALWAYS BE HIS MOMMA.

I've had two second trimester losses and have no living children. I know most people don't see me as a mom, but I see myself that way. I get much more sleep and I get to travel and there's a lot that I don't get to experience, but I am a mom. Happy Mother's Day. It's okay that it's complicated.

My grandmother is 77 with dementia. And as we wished her happy Mother’s Day she said, with tears in her eyes, Michael’s birthday is on the 15th. He was her firstborn son that died before he turned 1. Grief never leaves.
