@tommythecreator3: used to think Mother’s Day was a day meant for grief… a reminder of the women I’ve lost and can no longer hold, hear, or see again. But over the last 5 years, I’ve slowly transformed that grief into something different. Something that reminds me not only of what I lost, but of the love they left behind 🌷 Every year, I honor that love by getting a tattoo dedicated to either my mother or grandmother. If I have to go through a little pain on Mother’s Day, it might as well come with a tattoo, right? 💕 (huge shout out to Jerod Ray for his amazing work— as usual! ) What started as a coping mechanism became one of the most meaningful traditions in my life. It gives me something to look forward to, something grounding, and a way to make this day feel full instead of empty. For anyone who struggles with Mother’s Day, I encourage you to find a tradition of your own. Something that turns the weight of grief into a reminder that love never really leaves us.
