We are officially in the homestretch! Today was pre admit day. Urology will be present so I did have to stop by there to grab their portion of the paperwork. From there I headed on over to my OBs office. We did an updated ultrasound, and to our surprise the right ovary was looking fabulous (she is notoriously my problem ovary) and miss left ovary decided she was down to cause some trouble with a hemorrhagic cyst. Could be endometriosis, could just be a violent ovulation 🤷🏻‍♀️. That does explain the unusual discomfort i’ve been having in my left side. Praise God she is optimistic we should be able to keep one or both ovaries 🙌🏻. And in the event that we can’t, i have found my peace with that also, God’s got me 🙏🏻 and there WILL be GOOD quality of life on the other side of this operation, regardless of what happens 🤗. From there I went over to the hospital to finalize this pre admission process. They gave me all my instructions for day before, i have my antiseptic cleanser to use night before & morning of. Also, I have been on Tirzepatide for over 2 years, i did stop it 2 weeks ago in preparation for surgery BUT anesthesia still requires me to do a 24 LIQUID DIET 😩 the day before surgery. Yall pray for me 🙏🏻, i am 2 weeks clean of Tirz and the hunger is REALLL 😩. Anywaysss, all the prep work is done, now I am focusing on getting as much done around the house as I can before I am laid up for a bit. Ladies what items did you find MOST handy for recovery?? I ordered a few things from Amazon, just wondering if there was anything outside of the normal stuff that comes up when you search these things that you found super helpful? #hysterectomy #hystersister #endometriosis #adenomyosis #hysterectomyjourney
