I had a matrix for years. I took it to Toyota for a service and asked why they didn’t make it anymore, and the guy literally said because it worked too well. I really miss that car.

Can’t get a matrix in my country. Almost all of them have been taxi cabs by companies that don’t give them proper maintenance

Had a focus that died so I bought a matrix and it drives horrible, steering is so light I thought it was broken and there’s no feedback, rear suspension is torsion beam design so it handles horrible too

These had the 1ZZ-FE engines in them, if I know anything about this engine, it had oil consumption issues due to piston ring issues (had an 01 celica with the same engine) BUT as long as you kept putting oil in it, the car would just keep going

Had the Pontiac vibe 2.4 AWD, completely agree other than oil consumption, Toyota fixed that issue tho
