No because I loved Mel in S1 and she was still a good character in S2 but I literally did not care about her story at all. I was so confused and it cut time from what the plot SHOULD have been. There would've been no issues if we had three seasons

The thing that pissed me off the most was that it essentially came out of nowhere- the closest thing we got to any character alluding to The Black Rose before season two was that there were "threats beyond their shores" and Mel's family was vaguely in danger.. all those specific details sprung up almost immediately in season 2 without any more than a super vague precursor, it just feels very poorly planned IMO
