Light anesthesia is accurate and you wake up right away in discomfort. the mild discomfort is downplayed into moderately uncomfortable situation for 5-6 days. Bloody urine for about 3hrs which gradually subsides. The urethral trauma during the procedure and the retrieval suture causes discomfort at the tip. The fun part is when this thing comes to an end on the 6th day when the urologist inserts a foley an collapses the umbrella and removes this thing. All I can say is it should be done under general. Watch some other videos and note the force needed to remove the implant. The good thing is symptoms of BPH are mostly gone. Sexual function is preserved and it is nice to have a good stream again. I still have PTSD thinking about this but all in all, the memory fades and quality of life is much improved.
