Growing up we had to take 2 bites, if we didn't like it my Mom would make a pb&j or something easy like that. But we absolutely had to try it. she never yelled or made us feel bad if we didn't like something. she just said okay, good job trying it and that was it.

i work in childcare and most of the time its bc its easier for them to eat out of the pouches! i dislike when they give us applesauce for snack bc the toddlers i work with use it as paint 😭

im picky and i had to sit at the table till i finished my plate. after a while of crying, i was yelled at to go to my room. im even more picky now. being picky isnt a choice and forcing kids to try foods only makes everything worse

As someone that is picky there is MULTIPLE reasons as to why someone can be picky. Don’t mean the kid is running the house. So tell me you’ve never been around a picky eater without telling me you haven’t.

People saying “being picky is a choice” uhhh no, when I was a kid I tried ALL types of foods because I loved to explore foods with my mom but I would literally throw up. You can’t force yourself to like something.

Toddlers are different guys 😭 they will literally NOT eat and when you love your kids you’ll do the little things so they eat something because they have days they will eat one thing

As a picky eater parents creating a safe relationship with food is SO important 🥳 some textures or smells of food genuinely make me throw up, but my parents always made sure there was something id eat in the house 🤩
