I'm from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, and I'm one of those people who thinks that if you take the step to give the first kiss 💋, it's because you're serious about the person. As the years went by, I realized that not everyone thinks that way. I promised myself I wouldn't let anyone kiss me until that man chose me as his partner.

Your words are pretty in principle, but American dating culture is a mess. Moreso, being American and dating French men who assume American women just know they’re together, and when the conversation is had and the time passes, well… it’s these same people who don’t want commitment. Just my experience though. Your mileage may vary.
