A legal arrangement where a settlor (person who puts the money in) puts money into it for a Trustee (someone who controls the asset) and finally a beneficiary (the person who benefits from the asset) there’s different types of trust funds: a Bare trust fund (can take assets out at any time), discretionary trust (trustees decide when the beneficiary gets the money, interest in position trust (someone who has the right to income from the trust) and a charitable trust (for charitable purposes). The idea the guy is speaking about in the video doesn’t work, the reason why is the way a trust actually works, he used an example of ‘if you buy 1mil life insurance for 200 dollars then you can borrow using the policy as leverage’ but the trust is worth 200 dollars not 1mil, because the policy hasn’t been actualised yet. So just the money you already have is being used as leverage which is just debt. A better way of making money is stock trading or a safer way is bonds (an ‘I owe you’ you can buy from the government where once it matures ur guaranteed the money put in plus some) only risk for that is if the government falls which is highly unlikely
