In fairness with lelouch being the villain was kind of his plan he basically wanted to gather up all of the world's hate and I are towards him and then have himself assassinated to usher in an era of peace

LeLouch is villainized within the show’s world, while at most being portrayed as morally grey for the viewer. Magneto is always seen as the poster boy of fighting back when really his philosophy has been a broken one. He was done wrong and thus would become what he hated the most if he succeeded. The point with magneto isn’t that his angry isn’t justified and that he shouldn’t fight back but that he’s an extremist and ironically becomes the system he hates. Atleast for the 80’s-early 90’s where his character was first really fleshed out

close, it's actually because a lot of people if they can resolve a conflict without using violence they would go that way, despite it being a much harder path. Magneto and Xavier is a bad example imo, Magneto is scared of being the one oppressed again and soo to defend his people he resolve to violence, meanwhile Xavier wants to belive that there's a way in which both humans and mutants can live together without discrimination.

In the Owl House, the creators challenge that mindset so well in the finale with Luz and comparing her actions to Belos. Love how her refusing to help him in the end isn’t portrayed in a negative light but a positive one is so refreshing.
