As soon as I head Dragich I had to check their website for “our story”. And as I suspected. Their story begins in 1897 in Croatia!! Petar Dragic came to America in 1897. He started in mining, got his citizenship and brought his son and later the remaining family to America. What an amazing story!

If you ever come to New Zealand I’d love to see you try kina! It’s what we call urchin but I believe our local variety is slightly smaller with shorter spines. I wonder how the flavour compares?
