Do it! We left Slough for Cardiff which isn't the countryside but it is so much cheaper to live here than next to London.

My family moved from Maidenhead to Dorset about 10 years ago now! We started in a lovely village called marnhull and have slowly moved closer to the beach. Even in marnhull you were only ever an hour away from anything you wanted to go. Also still relatively close to Heathrow. My mums house is currently up for sale now with plenty of space for family and friends to stay if your interested!

I moved from London to the Cotswold and i cannot imagine living in London ever again. It’s such a better life especially with kids. Come to bourton on the water, stow on the world, Cirencester you’ll fall in love

Visit cheddar, the Cotswolds or the Lake District, I think the key to it working would be to be fairly close to a city as going to really rural can feel isolating

My parents moved from Kent to Dorset and the whole family followed. 😂Currently living in a village just outside Dorchester now. I do miss the convenience of being so close to London though. But the Dorset air is something else 🥰

I live in Dorset and it’s my favourite place - Swanage is stunning also and you can’t beat the beaches along studland and Poole/Bournemouth way xx

I lived in Dorset until aged 18.... then moved abroad 😂 Everytime I come back to visit family, I appreciate it more. It is beautiful, as long as you avoid bournemouth and neighbouring áreas.

You would have gone past and Greggs and a lush local pub (Botany Bay, near Bere Regis) BUT apparently today Greggs shut all shops and outlets!!!! 😂😂😂😂

I nanny in the middle of nowhere in the countryside near Basingstoke and it’s heaven!! All the animals we see, the kids love it. No noise and no neighbours 😂

I live about 20 miles from there and there is loads of places around there. Go along the coast just a little bit further East and it's more townified and West it's more coastal and lots of little treasures for young children. Also you get alot more for your buck than you do nearer a city!!! You'd be able to get your girls a pony!!! NOT goats lmao they are a nightmare 🤣 😂 check out rightmove most small holdings have a separate little annex ❤️Good luck xx
