@philippinestar: House Committee on Justice chairperson Gerville Luistro urged fellow lawmakers to reject fear and stand firm as they voted on the Articles of Impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, emphasizing that the issue at hand carried legal, moral, and constitutional weight. "Mr. Luistro acknowledged the weight of their decision, saying it would shape not only the fate of an individual but also the kind of republic the country seeks to uphold. With 255 affirmative votes, 26 against, and nine abstentions, the House of Representatives has impeached Duterte and will transmit the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate. #gervilleluistro #houseofrepresentatives #impeachment #saraduterte #philippinestar
