As a drafter, The "better" design option is the best option to do. You've maximized the usable sqft of the room. A WIC (walk-in-closet) with only clothes on one side or in an L-shape is pointless. You are better off having the "better" design option closet because you still have the same amount of storage. The L-shaped wic design is misleading. It just makes it look fancy but without any benefit. You've essentially redu ed the room size and created an unuseable dead hall in the room, reducing the useable sqft. If you do a wic you need to do storage on both sides of the door or a U-shape to maximize the storage, which is not feasible for this room size.

If you have a small house, then a professional may be ok, but I definitely prefer a begginer because of the space and not the overwhelm.

Cool! Hope you dont just look at the room, but at the lay-out. Light switch, rooms left and Right, electricity is walls, the corridor the changed to. Looks are cool, comfort is more valuable.
