I’ve been stopped once with my daughter as she had her dads surname .. they said to my 7yr old ‘who is this lady’ and pointed to me and my daughter said ‘I don’t know’ 😭 luckily it all got sorted in the end. Finally changed her surname to my surname 🙋🏽♀️🫠

How do I even get a past port for them in uk they have his surname but I don’t know even where he is for the past 3 years and there has been no contact different lawyers have said different things

I have always traveled with my kids and since we have different surnames no one ever questioned me. Just asked if I had the Full birth certificate that’s all, also it’s just when you arrive back to the Uk they ask you.

Omg I had this years ago they asked my daughter who I was and she said Stephanie lol they then took us in a different room I said I’m her mum 😂😂

i was stoppd on return at manc airport to show proof my daughter was myn..my son was 18 so he was ok.i showed birth certificate.so yes they randomly ask

i took my sons birth certificate and paid for an extra incase i lost it. not one person asked about his last name, or the fact i was 33 weeks pregnant. no one checked my fit to fly letter🤣

Once they asked me what’s my daughter’s date of birth and honestly I am very bad with numbers, her date has lots of same numbers and it’s confusing when I have to say it fast 😭😂 but thank god I had the birth certificate with me as I think they started to believe that she is not my child
