Jonathan Wayne Strickland my heart outside of my body, my light in the dark, my steady in the chaos, and now, my future husband. You are the epitome of a God-fearing man, a man who is true and unwavering, a man who loves with a depth and sincerity that can only come from the Lord. From the very beginning, I’ve admired the way you give your whole heart there’s not a single part of you that isn’t fully invested in me, in us, in the life we’re building together. I know with every ounce of who I am that you embody every single quality my daddy prayed for in the man who would one day love me. Respectful, humble, passionate you remind me so much of him in the very best ways. And in that, I have no doubt that you carry his blessing. It feels like God wove a piece of my dad into you, so I would never feel his love too far from me. I fall in love with you in the ways no one else gets to see the way you look at me when I’m not paying attention, the way you slow down just to match my pace when we’re walking, the way you somehow know what I need before I even say a word. It’s in those quiet, ordinary moments that I’m reminded your love is anything but ordinary and I could never run out of reasons to love you. And it’s not just me you love so well. You’ve been by my family’s side through so many ups and downs, loving them like your own, never hesitating to help my nanny and papa, always checking in to make sure my sisters are doing okay. Watching the way you care for them makes me fall for you all over again. August 30th, 2025, will forever be one of the best days of my life. Hearing you tell me you loved me, watching you drop to one knee, and asking me to be your wife is a moment that will live in my heart forever. What made it even sweeter was turning around and seeing my family there, sharing in the most sacred moment of my life. And to have one of my favorite photographers capturing every smile, every tear, every detail made it feel like time stood still. Jonathan, the thoughtfulness and love you poured into that day showed me yet again how deeply God’s hand is in our story, and I’ll spend forever thanking Him for choosing me to love you.
