my boyfriend told me the reason he loves me is because he sees that i try so hard to pour love into the world even when i don’t get it in return. i do in fact plan to marry him one day.

My 12 year old daughter told me I was pretty. I told her I didn't feel pretty today. She said "pretty isn't something you feel. It's something you ARE." 😢

My grandmother had dementia
The last time I saw her, she told me she didn't know who I was but she knew that she loved me. It was the last thing she said to me before she passed

I am covered with freckles, especially on my face. I had always been self conscious about them. When I was 39, a young waitress we had stopped dead in her tracks with a look of awe and said "Oh my god. Your freckles are so beautiful!" She was so sincere. I no longer hate my freckles. I think about her saying that at least once a week, 6 years later.

My student were supposed to give their parents a rose during their graduation. The parents of one boy (very troubled at that time) didnt't show up and he gave me this rose saying "you're like a mom to me". Years passed and this memory still makes me cry.

When I graduated college my grandmother handed me a card from my grandfather. Inside was $50 and a note that said “I knew you could do it. I’m so proud of you”. He died two years before I graduated 😭

This old man i used to passby on the way to work told me he deliberately goes to that street to see me pass by, he said i remind him of his late daughter, he says he imagined she would have looked like me if she had grown older. He showed me a picture of her and we look so alike. I gave him a hug and he cried so much. He passed away a few weeks later

My best friend drove over an hour (one way) just to hug me on my birthday. I still sob when I think about it. I was home alone and didn’t realize how sad I was until she broke into my house and woke me up with a hug and a cupcake.

Almost 20 years ago my dad recorded me singing a song, I was 4. It has been his ring tone sice then and every time it rings in public he tells everybody that it's his baby singing, I'm 23 now

In 2017 I lost my entire iCloud when I got a new phone and tried to transfer. I had my children in 2012, and 2015, so I lost almost all the photos of their baby days. It still wrecks me. For Mother’s Day this year my husband got me a digital photo frame, and reached out to all our family and friends to give them the email address to send photos to to upload them to the frame 🥹 pictures I hadn’t seen in a decade that I didn’t even know I had sent family/friends back then and they saved to their phones. He’s a good man. The best man.

My wife and I were dating and got to the point of meeting each other’s parents. Her parents lived a couple of hours away and we were driving up for me to meet them. She told me that her dad cried every time when she left. Sure enough, he did. We eventually got married and I noticed one day that her dad didn’t cry when we left. I mentioned it on the drive home, and she just shrugged and said, “He cried because he worried about me. He doesn’t cry anymore because he knows I’m safe with you.” Best compliment I’ve ever received.

My grandmother used to ask me why I would only use a certain spoon whenever I was at her house. Told her that I HATE big spoons and it was the only small one she had. The next time I was there after that she had a container with my name on it and it had only small spoons in it 🤭

I worked with a nonverbal autistic child. He was very sweet and loved to giggle but he mostly echoed what I asked. On the last day I worked with him he cupped my face and said clearly “Please don’t go. I will miss you” I sobbed the whole way home after that. Made me feel like I was actually making an impact on him. I still miss that sweet kiddo 🥺

My son is a non-verbal autistic child. I rarely have time for makeup or fancy clothes most days I wear jeans and a T-shirt so I’m always ready for whatever situation might come up because of his needs.
One day, we were going out to a restaurant, and I decided to dress up a little, put on some makeup, and wear some jewellery. When my son saw me, he looked at me and said, wooow! Then he pretended to faint, just like people do in cartoons 😂
I’ve never received a better compliment in my life ❤️

I was struggling with being a stepmom and always being told I was nothing to him. Getting him off the bus one day in kindergarten he had the whole bus sing me Happy Birthday while he beemed the biggest smile. He just turned 19. Love him to pieces.

In the early 2000s I was a high school senior. I have been disabled since early childhood and am unable to walk. One of my classes was having a field trip to Chicago on a chartered bus to go to the art museum there. The school refused to get a wheelchair accessible bus because it cost $500 more than the regular bus (this is legal since the field trip wasn’t mandatory). My friend who was in the class went to the teacher on his own and gave her the plan for getting me on and off the bus. He and a few other friends made sure I was able to go by carrying me on and off the bus, folding and storing my wheelchair on the bus and over all making sure I got to go. He also threatened to take the story to the local news station where his next door neighbor was the city’s weatherman if they didn’t allow me to go. I was able to go on the field trip and had a lot of fun. It was one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me.

When I was dating my late husband he picked me up at the airport after I visited home for a week. I flew into his arms and we basically twirled. An older couple looked at us and said “now that’s LOVE”. It was. It was the most magical love in the world and I was married to the most wonderful human being EVER. F the cancer that took him. Today is his birthday.
