This is a topic that isnt spoken about enough. Thankyou for making a video on this and encouraging people to practice. I unfortunately couldn't pursue music, due to having to work. But, because I'm working, I can afford to give my sister the equipment she needs to pursue this. We've just fixed and customised a second hand guitar, so she can practice on her own instrument. it was a £30 guitar, but it works and its enough to learn on. keep up the great content!

that's exactly wrong for the point of getting more expensive. today the tools to self record and production are super inexpensive. for example Michael Jackson used AShure SM5 mic on Thriller. If you can't afford it you can use a Shure SM 58. that's about $50.00 used and it has the same internal mic capsule. And you don't have to use an Apple computer to do music. a PC laptop is fine. I would say do it yourself.

the one I don't understand is Artic monkeys I mean yeah they all had parents on decent wages but they never had any real impact on there careers they build there band up by how they approached streaming and the internet

I’ve been playing guitar for 24 years and I never wanted a career in music. The main reason is that musicians travel from gig to gig , to recording sessions, all over the world playing the same songs every night for years. That would drive me nuts, I hate travelling. I love being home playing in my studio.

This. I work for a big healthcare organisation, and I went to uni i did music, i did all the things, but i have to work a regular 9-5 to buy equipment. Some days I finish and I don't have the mental capacity to then practice. It's a really tough grind man.
