Woman drives from out of state to stalk man. His response: Ok guys so here's a little story about internet safety that I want to get out there so everyone is aware of the dangers of forming connections with people on social media. At about 9PM on a Sunday night a customer who I had previously blocked, expressed multiple times that I did not have any interest in them, and told I didn't even want to be within 10miles of them showed up at my house just as I was returning from the store. They parked in front of my house for 15min while I waited silently in my car. They left and then CAME BACK! Once it was clear they were not going to leave I decided to do the only thing I knew how and record and narrate my experience. 1. This person lives in a completely different state and tried to communicate with me about coming to visit me which I expressly declined (I'm a private person and meet very few people from social media). 2. This person is married and has repeatedly shown interest in me in a strange way. 3. They have my return address from a package I sent to them as well as message traffic for shipping back and forth. 4. Some of my customers are very kind and send me packages in the mail which is thoughtful, this was not the case in this instance, she was using my kindness as a way to stalk me and make me feel unsafe. 5. I did in fact call the police and they trespassed her from my property. I will also be filing a restraining order against her. I feel completely unsafe in my own home right now and I want this to be a cautionary tale of how quickly a friendly conversation can turn into a potentially serious situation. Be safe on social media, if the roles had been reversed and I was a young woman and this was a man, things could have been much different... #stalkingawareness #safety #socialmediasafety #onlinesafety #storytime
