Listened to the full story. She had 12 people and lost her spot. She tried to stay and talk to the manger but their owner’s sister came and mad it worse. The customer’s mom came to get her and they left and the owner’s sister had to work for an hour

I fully endorse the small or fancy restaurants who make you make a $25 deposit for a reservation, that you get back if you show up or call ahead to cancel, but forfeit if you no-show.

times of the year my restaurant is fully booked more than a week or two out: Valentines day (about a month out) GRADUATION (3 plus months prior), reunion weekend, move in weekend (2 plus months) , parents weekend, home coming, black friday, most of December. We use to book out more than 2 weeks for mothers day and Easter but we no longer open for either as its one of our regular days to be closed and we would rather spend the day with our families.
