It’s not entirely true though. A lot of training partners say things about their teammates and most of the time they’re just backing them. Conor’s teammates said his takedown defense had significantly improved prior the Khabib fight and look how that ended

Let’s be real chimeav was not 100% and I love Strickland. I still think Sean has the style/skills to give him problems but that 40 pound weight cut deff played a huge factor in the outcome.

I think you're pushing a narrative that doesn't exist. it wasn't that Sean's wrestling was so good. it's that he didn't try to take Sean down. hardly at all after the first round. his cardio wasn't there if you want to credit Sean for his lack of cardio go ahead I guess

Oh, I don't know, Ben. Like, I do get your point, and Ilia is most likely going to be good at grappling. However, as you mentioned before, that interaction with Olivera, Charles is not that good at getting takedowns. So, Ilia managing to flip it over does showcase that he has somewhat a good level in grappling, but not as high as you make it seem, especially that in that interaction, Charles almost got a leg lock against Ilia, or a heel hook. So Ilia kept his distance away from him after that. Obviously, Arman himself did almost get finished in two of those rounds in his fight against Charles. However, Arman stayed there. And Arman, apart from when he was almost submitted, dominated in the grappling. He was the one that had control time. So, I don't believe Arman will finish Ilia necessarily, but I do believe there is a very high chance he will just get some control time for a long period of the round. Still, I do believe Ilia will beat Arman, but I do believe that in terms of grappling, he is not in the same level as him.

Khamzat’s chain wrestling is elite but I feel like his entries aren’t too special. Not too mention I feel like recently he hasn’t been as damaging in the ground and pound recently. Still elite but def improvements.

It was a fixed fight. Or Khamzat was sick/injured. His shots were not like his shots in other fights. He was slow and you could see them coming. Strickland couldn’t even out wrestle DDP.

we’ve seen ilia’s offensive grappling it’s clearly not top level, he had 0 sucess against max holloway, did slightly better than demon blackshear against a young skinny zalal, went from a dominant position to almost getting subbed in 5 secs against olivera and got shucked off jai herbert who got rag dolled by 145 moicono. There’s no question that he’s not an elite offensive grappler his defensive grappling looks solid ut there’s still no indication that it’s elite
