THIS!!! As a recovering addict, I was broken and sleeping under bridges. I found my life again walking into the best possible church I could have chosen. After years of doubting and feeling like I’m not allowed, I still walked into there and was quickly shown that I was loved and welcomed.

The church I grew up in had shower heads in each bathroom, stocked with mini shampoos, conditioners and body wash, a closet full of donated clothing items including hats, scarves, gloves, undergarments even a few sleeping bags/ blankets… every Saturday we’d host a food bank and anyone was invited to take whatever they needed and were welcome to take a nice warm shower. Regardless of if they came to Sunday service or not. Ever since my pastor Greg passed away from cancer that spirit died with him. 💔 I miss him every day. I can only hope I’m doing right by what he taught me when I was a child.
