I love the punch dimension thing. However, kinetic energy isn't going to get stopped or changed by a light filter in glasses. Laser beams would. The glasses should also be green, to block the red lasers.

Trying to accurately explain comic powers is impossible. There have been too many writers writing too many different ways the powers work with too much "Comic Science" explanations to cover for nothing making sense other than it sounds cool.

I'm all for ease of explanation but also it greatly amuses me to think of characters canonically arguing these semantics. Like, in X-Men there may well be someone with the power of actual laser eyes so Cyclops gets all defensive about it lol

Punch Dimension ≠ Not Canon Lasers ≠ Also wrong Photosynthesis Powered Kinetic Beams = Correct. it's confusing, and sometimes Scott's eyes do just shoot lasers because someone (Fox X-Men Writers) didn't pay attention. Also, yeah that's exactly what Gambit does. He makes bombs. Just in a more complicated way than someone like Boom Boom who literally just makes bombs.
